Lampard will take Chelsea into the top four, claims Joe Cole

Joe Cole says that Frank Lampard will lead the team to top four in the Premier League in the current season. He also said that Lampard has led an unbelievable journey in the first season at Chelsea. They are currently on the fourth position and is leading the fifth-placed Manchester United for two points. With the win over Aston Villa in Sunday, they are now ahead of United for five points and is behind Leicester City for three points.

Cole is sure that his former team will once again belong to the club if elite. He believes that when the current season progresses they will be even surpassing Leicester City to move up the table. He also said that Manchester United will be most likely to qualify for Champions League as Leicester will be pulled back.

He told 90 min that United will push up the table and Chelsea will not surely fall with Lampard dealing them. He thinks that even though Leicester has won the Premier League a couple of years back but they lack the experience and the chances of them qualifying for the Champions League is rare. He is of the opinion if any of the clubs will fall out from the top four it is most likely to be Leicester City.

The 38-year-old has many praises for his former teammate and describes him as unbelievable. He also appreciated the club for appointing him as the manager. He said that Chelsea has the right players for its club and believes that they’rein a strong position. There are many people who deserve the credit for making such a team but it’s Lampard who deserves the loudest clap. He has transformed the team to a better one and he will be one of the most topmanagers.

“He’s brought his staff in, people he can trust, people who do their job very well. He’s really steadied the ship, you know, a great job right from the academy, the club’s really pulling in the right direction and the names they are linked with I think are bang on.”
