While Cech has certainly had an amazing run thus far, he wants his positivity and his play style to rub off on the younger players around Europe. Cech cited that his inspiration to play for his homeland came from the Czech Republic’s 1996 Euro finals.

If a team can play at the highest level while representation their nation, Cech believes that it opens more door for younger people who have a dream of playing at that level or at least builds some inspiration to do so. People who have dreamt about going aboard and playing in big league games may now be able to do so.
