CECH TO REMAIN AT EMIRATES AFTER THIS SUMMER

Arsenal would still have Petr Cech available after this summer as the player’s agent insists that he was not leaving.

There have been numerous speculations that the former Chelsea shot stopper might exit the Emirates after this season after he suffered a dip in form. In recent game in the Premier League, his mis-kick allowed Chelsea get their third goal in the 3-1 loss.

The 34-year old also made a costly mistake in the game against Manchester City in December. When reports surfaced that the club could sign Joe Hart, who is on loan in the Serie A, Coach Arsene Wenger came out to deny such rumours. He added that Cech could remain the number one man at the club for years to come.

Viktor Kolar said to reporters that Cech would remain with Arsenal until his contract expires in 2019.

“Petr’s position at the club is very secure and a summer transfer can be ruled out. Petr will be part of Arsenal until at least the end of his current contract and I am convinced that he will continue to have a leadership role in the team,” Kolar reportedly said.

After losses to Chelsea and Watford, Cech said that the team faced a difficult task making the Champions League, based on the level of competition.

“They [Chelsea] have a big advantage, Chelsea so we need to keep winning our game. And obviously not only looking ahead but we need to look behind as well because for the Champions League positions the table in very congested,” Cech said.

The comment would worry the fans as the team is one that finds itself somehow on the top four at the end of the season. They have been weak mentally in recent years and the stiff competition this term could make them falter.
