CECH SET FOR EARLY COMEBACK

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is expected to make an early recovery from a calf injury he sustained several weeks back in time to contribute to the Londoners’ Premier League title run, according to The Mirror, but we wouldn’t put a sports bet on it!

The Czech international has not featured since limping off in Chelsea’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to Inter in Italy last month.

There is still a chance that Cech will be able to play in Tuesday’s second leg clash against Inter at Stamford Bridge – it is more likely that he will return in two week’s time for the away game at Blackburn.

This will come as great news for Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, seeing as reserve ‘keeper Henrique Hilario has somewhat struggled in Cech’s place, most notably during the side’s 4-2 home defeat against Manchester City.
