CECH AIMS FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GLORY

Petr Cech is aiming for Champions League glory with Chelsea this year after repeated narrow exits in the previous years. Since Roman Abramovich took over the club in 2003, the Stamford Bridge outfit has won three English Premier League titles, three FA Cups, two Football League Cups and two FA Community Shields.

Despite their huge domestic success, glory has eluded them in Europe so far. They came close in the 2007-08 season when Captain John Terry was just a penalty away from the trophy, but he slipped and Chelsea lost the penalty shootout to Manchester United. But this season, Petr Cech feels that it is Chelsea’s time to claim the biggest prize in club football.
