CECH LOOKING OUT FOR A TIGHT TITLE RACE

Petr Cech is expecting the Premier League title to make it to the last match before the winner can be determined this season, due to the number of in-form possible contenders.

Unlike last season when Leicester City were crowned champions with two games remaining, as Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City all fell away in the final months of the campaign.

Nevertheless, the former Czech Republic international has identified a number of potential winners in the ongoing season, although he is desperate for his side to come out on top and claim a first EPL since 2004.

He listed Liverpool as the first on the list of the contenders, also Manchester United, though now they are a little bit behind, he believes it is a long season and it is only a few points separating them from the leaders, Liverpool. The former Chelsea goalkeeper further recognized Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal, and Chelsea as the desperate contenders but believes everybody wants to win.

“You can see how much people put in the effort every weekend to get the points on board, and I think they will all be fighting until the last minute for the title.” he said at an event for the AsmirBegovic Foundation.

“It is going to be exciting for the fans and obviously we want to have it exciting for us as well and we want to win it. The season has begun, pretty much, as very exciting for everyone. After 10 games you have five teams with a one point difference and I think that will be the trend.”

Liverpool sit on top of the table with a point above Antonio Conte’s Blue soldiers, while Man City and Arsenal are level respectively with a point behind Chelsea and three points above Tottenham Hotspurs.
